Mr. Brown represents clients in litigation in state and federal trial courts and appellate courts. He has represented private equity funds, hedge funds, investor groups, bankruptcy estates, bankruptcy court-appointed committees, and individual plaintiffs.
Mr. Brown has experience litigating cases involving commercial contract disputes, bankruptcy, distressed assets, financial regulation, and business torts involving unfair competition and breaches of fiduciary duty. Mr. Brown began his legal career practicing bankruptcy law in the Chicago offices of an international law firm, and later managed a small practice serving the needs of distressed-debt investors in bankruptcy courts and federal trial courts around the country. Prior to joining Williams Barber & Morel LTD., Mr. Brown ran a solo litigation practice focused on litigation involving financial regulation.
Mr. Brown received a B.A. with honors from Grinnell College in 2005. He received a J.D. cum laude from Harvard Law School in 2009.
